Gustavo Pérez Fernández (Camagüey, 1962): poet, documentarian, and photographer.

He is the author of the poetry books Aunar lo imprevisible (1994), Por el ojo del tiempo (1997), Friso de la vida (2000), and El cuaderno de las Sombras (2004). His work has appeared in many anthologies and literary magazines in and outside Cuba. Critical reviews about his poetic work can be found in La Gaceta de Cuba and El Caimán Barbudo.

Pérez Fernández is the author of more than fifteen documentaries. He has held photography exhibitions in Cuba, Belgium, and Italy. He also worked as program director for Camagüey Television for more than twenty-five years. Pérez Fernández has received many recognitions for his artistic work, including the Distinction for National Culture.
